Singing in the hills!

On Sunday 24th April 2022 I decided to celebrate the 1932 Kinder Scout Mass Trespass by following the route of the Manchester walkers. By happy coincidence I arrived at Bowden Bridge car park as Commoners Choir were assembling. It was great to follow in the footsteps of the mass trespassers with them, and awesome to see and hear them perform a few of their songs where the trespassers reached 90 years ago.

This trespass, which followed others such as the Winter Hill trespass in 1896, was part of the process that led to the Countryside Rights of Way Act (CRoW) 2000 to establish some right to roam in England, but nowhere near as much as our friends in Scotland enjoy.

Anyway here is the video I put together of the day.
