I have been a fan of Brasher Boots since I bought my first pair at the NAAFI in Rheindalen in October 1991. They lasted 14 years until I replaced them in 2005. That pair are still being used albeit not in the Fells for the past 13-years. I am now on my third pair. Love ‘em!
Lots of features on this Technicals rucksack

Brought up near Karrimor’s factory in Accrington, I used their rucksacks until new owners stopped making products in the UK in 1999. Since that time I have used whatever suits my needs, presently using a Technicals Glencoe 22L - house brand of JD Sports group.
Waterproof.
I try to make do with my new (2020) Páramo Ostra Jacket or my old (2004) Berghaus PacLite Extrem whenever possible. But for extreme rain I have a Technicals Pinnacle 3-in-1 jacket.
